Release Notes
The Jenoptik ProgRes Capture support installs the necessary modules for your imaging application.

Installation Notes:
• Follow the installations instructions below.
• Image Pro Plus 5.1 or higher must be previously installed.
• The supported operating systems are Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP Pro.

Installation Instructions for Windows 2000 and XP-Pro
• Install the IEEE 1394 PCI card into your computer. To install the card, shutdown your computer and install the IEEE 1394 PCI card into an available PCI slot. Do NOT connect the camera(s) yet.
• Start Explorer and locate the CD-ROM or downloaded path where the driver is located. Then, double click on the icon file (Capt60_ProgResSetup_XXX.exe) and follow the installation instructions.
• After the installation of the program is complete, please restart the system.
• Mount the Jenoptik camera and connect the cables to the IEEE 1394 board.
• Windows will recognize the camera and install the appropriate driver.

Jenoptik ProgRes® Capture Notes
1) Gamma setting can be turned off by moving the Gamma slider all the way left. Values between 0.0 and 0.1 are considered as the gamma correction is turned off.
2) ProgRes cameras are equipped with advanced color interpolation algorithms. You can set them in the capture driver configuration window, in the tab “Camera Options”. Both Color Matrix Processing and Color Interpolation could be set separately for live preview and for snap image.
3) This Image-Pro driver uses SDK version 3.4.0.24.
4) Before creating a black or white reference, run at least once the live preview and make sure that the exposure time is correct. Otherwise, the error 'Reference too dark' or 'Reference too bright' can occur.
5) The 'Best fit to display' feature is available only in monochrome acquisition modes. However, it's internally disabled even if the check box is available.
6) To create a white reference, it has to be ensured that the light source of the microscope is set appropriately, and that no areas are overexposed. Ideally, a medium control of the sensor is set. Then the camera has to be shaded and the “Config”-window has to be opened, and a black reference has to be created. Afterwards, the preceding light conditions should be re-established, and a white reference has to be created.
Important note: The “Config”-window may not be closed between setting the black reference and the white reference with the USB-camera.
