ProgRes® SDK

Software Development Kit

For all our ProgRes® microscope cameras (CT3, C10plus/ C3, C12plus/ C5, CF-Series, MF-Series and C14plus), we offer one integrative Software Development Kit (SDK). Especially system integrators as well as OEM customers will benefit from this SDK as it allows to smoothly integrate our ProgRes® microscope cameras in any software environment or even to generate a new graphical user interface according to specific needs.

The SDK is written in “C++“ and allows to access virtually any parameter of our ProgRes® microscope cameras or the Imaging Modules.
Previous knowledge in programming in C++ are prerequisite. Integral part of our SDK is the sample programm “CxxWin.exe”. It can be used to test almost all functions without programming effort prior to the actual implementation. The source code of “CxxWin.exe“ sample program in included in the SDK.

The following parameters can be controlled by the SDK sample program „CxxWin.exe“:
1. Full control of exposure time, gamma, saturation, gain factor (analogue and digital), white reference
2. Image resolution for Live & Capture
3. Storage of captured images in .tiff, .RAW, .bmp file format
4. Colour-Processing (availability of various colour matrixes / colour interpolation algorithms)
5. Control of the Peltier element (on / off)
6. Firmware updates
7. Creation of individual Shading files (White- and Black-Shading)
8. Full control of read-out speed of the image sensor, this way full control of image quality also
9. Full control of camera trigger functionalities
10. Control of 4 cameras at the same time (display of 4 live images simultaneously is possible)
11. “CxxWin.exe“ allows for continuous exposure metering (Source Code is at hand)

In case of lacking knowledge in programming in C++ ProgRes® microscope cameras and Imaging Modules can be controlled by an ActiveX-Control, included in the SDK: From the beginning of June 2008 an additional LabView Control will be available.
Both options allow users to realize the implementation of our ProgRes® microscope cameras in existing software environments within 1-2 days.
The ProgRes® SDK and all its modules are Windows XP and Windows Vista compatible.
Of course we also offer an SDK for Apple Macintosh operating systems and Linux!
